The jeans zipper is usually a metal Y-teeth zipper made of copper with 4/4.5YG slider.
In recent years, due to the rising price of copper, there are also many people using stainless steel zipper whose advantage are corrosion resistance, no easy discoloration, low cost and disadvantages are high hardness, difficulty in making the mould and relatively high technical requirements if you need to plate other colors.
The basic steps to produce metal closed-end zipper of jeans are: long-chain zipper making - polishing (optional) - bottom stop fixing - slider mounting - top stop fixing - zipper cutting (Of course, if the quality of the zipper is high, it needs to be polished.)
Step 1: Long-chain zipper making
You can buy Y-teeth wire from the market, or you can buy copper wire and use the Y-teeth wire manufacturing machine to produce it.
Purchase the tape (or produce it by loom machine), then use the Y-teeth machine to make the Y-teeth wire into Y-teeth zipper teeth, and at the same time stamp the teeth onto the tape.
There are three kinds of Y-teeth stamping machine: single head Y-teeth stamping machine, double heads Y-teeth stamping machine and 3-in-1 double heads Y-teeth stamping machine;
Among them, the 3-in-1 Y-teeth stamping machine is the most convenient and fastest, and it occupies less production space; at this step we get the long-chain zipper with gapping.
Step 2: Polishing (optional)
This step can be omitted if the quality requirement is not particularly high;
There are more choices of polishing machines for metal zippers: single head, double heads, 12 wheels, 24 wheels, etc., you can choose according to your own quality requirements for the products;
If the zipper teeth are brass and needs to be plated into other colors, after polishing, you also need to use the plating machine to plate it, use the drying machine to dry it, then lacquer it, and finally iron and wind the zipper tape (all these steps are optional).
Step 3: Bottom Stop Fixing
Make sure that the Y-teeth machine you used in step 2 has gapping function, if not, you will need to gap the metal long-chain zipper with gapping machine.
Use the metal zipper bottom stop fixing machine to fix bottom stop on the zipper, there are automatic and semi-automatic machines for you to choose according to the needs.
Step 4: Slider Mounting
Use automatic metal zipper [slider mounting machine ] to mount the slider onto the zipper.
Step 5: Top Stop Fixing
Use the top stop fixing machine to fix the top stop to the zipper. There are U-shape top stop, European shape top stop, brass top stop wire and so on.
Step 6: Zipper Cutting
You can use metal zipper cutting machine to cut the zipper according to the fixed length, there are zigzag cutting machine, ultrasonic cutting machine, cutting machine with labour hand and so on.
Here the whole process is basically completed.
